Process Fundamentals Workshops

Our Process Fundamentals workshops, many of which are based on our comprehensive process guidebooks, emphasize fundamental principles and concepts and present proven methods and techniques.  All courses and accompanying materials are consistent with the CMMI.

All workshops are conducted on-site and may be tailored to address specific needs. Current Process Fundamentals workshops include:

Requirements Management

A one-day course that addresses the fundamental activities needed to manage requirements on software and systems projects.

Project Management

This intensive two-day course covers the essential principles and techniques of project management and is oriented toward the needs of project teams and process group members.

Measurement & Analysis

A one-day workshop that covers all essential measurement activities, from planning to data analysis.

Quality Assurance

During this one-day workshop attendees learn about the key elements of quality assurance.

Configuration Management

A one-day workshop that describes the principles and techniques of an effective configuration management process.

Supplier Management

This half-day workshop addresses the needs of product development teams who must acquire products and services from external sources.

Process Management

A one-day course focusing on the infrastructure and techniques necessary to establish an effective process improvement program.

Software Inspection

An intense one-day workshop that teaches participants how to plan and conduct peer reviews using the Software Inspection method.

Decision Analysis

A half-day workshop that teaches participants how to objectively make critical decisions.  The technique presented is applicable to a variety of management and engineering issues.

Implementing a Software Quality Program

This three-day seminar presents a framework for building quality into the software and the actions necessary to verify that the required functionality and performance have been achieved.

Software Development: The User's Perspective

This three-day course helps customers of software development organizations gain a better understanding of the complexities of the modern software development process and the roles they can play to help ensure they get the software products they need.
